Mission and types of support

Our goal is to help mothers of children with special needs living abroad find support, understanding, and the resources they need to feel confident and grounded in their new life. The programme combines emotional, social, legal and practical assistance, easing the path of every family.

We create a space where mother and child feel welcomed and part of a community. Programmes include creative activities, art therapy, joint events and support groups aimed at building confidence and encouraging socialisation. Collapse

Make a contribution
Any amount will make a difference. Regular financial support — even a small contribution — represents a significant investment in the association’s ongoing work.

Even € 5 is enough: that’s a café breakfast, a pack of aspirin, or a commuter train ticket — so it’s certainly not nothing.
Become a volunteer
Your age, education or social status don’t matter to us; even your country of residence or citizenship is not relevant. If you want to be part of DAR, join us — there will always be a task suited to you.
A project for business owners. Our friends support us by sharing information about DAR on their social media and displaying QR code donation posters. We offer our community’s support and our media channels for business promotion, both online and offline.
Any report, article, post, or even a personal blog repost helps us help others. If you are a journalist, blogger, photographer, or simply active on social media, we would love to collaborate.

Support for mothers of children with special needs

The DAR Association, through the DAR Madre programme, has been supporting mothers of children with special needs coming to Spain for over 8 years. Our mission is to support families in difficult situations, offering help and guidance at every stage of their journey.

What we offer

Rehabilitation — funding for rehabilitation activities and procedures to improve children's quality of life.
Legal assistance — consultations and support with document processing.
Integration — programmes to help families integrate into Spanish society.
Collaborative support — work with professionals including psychologists, educators and therapists.

Inclusive projects

We believe creativity is a powerful tool for breaking down barriers and unlocking the potential of every person, regardless of their physical or intellectual abilities.
People with disabilities have the same dreams and ambitions as everyone else, especially when it comes to professional and creative development. We strive to make the cultural sphere more accessible and open to them.
Our goals:

  • to create conditions for the artistic education of people with disabilities;
  • to prepare students for entry into theatre or dance schools;
  • to collaborate with partners to research and implement new approaches to inclusion in creative education.
